Welcome to Alhambra ...

So far, we found very little information about Alhambra. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Alhambra to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Alhambra - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Alhambra, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Alhambra , we believe that it would have been located within present day White Pine County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Alhambra, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was on a map dated 1883.

Time Zone: The area where Alhambra was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time

Communities Also Named Alhambra ...

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 12 communities that are also named Alhambra - they are located in Alberta, Arizona, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Virginia (2).

For more information, see our Tidbits & Trivia Page for Alhambra.

Adding Alhambra to Our Gazetteer ...

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Alhambra was on a map titled George#&160;F. Cram Map of Nevada (1883).

Footnotes ...

<1>We use the term 'Historic' broadly and it generally means that the community no longer exists. However, it can also mean that the community might still exist, but was significantly larger or had a more 'official' existence in the past than it does now. Unfortunately our sources of data have proven to be unreliable. If you can provide us with more specific information about Alhambra, please let us know so that we can improve our accuracy.
<2>If you're interested in how the shape of Nevada's counties, including White Pine, have changed over time, we recommend the Atlas of Historical County Boundaries.
