Beaubassin was settled in 1672.

The origin (or the toponymy) of Beaubassin: Named after Michel Le Neuf de la Valli�re de Beaubassin (1640-1705), who served in the French Navy and later became a governor of Acadia.

Time Zone: The area where Beaubassin was located is in the Atlantic Time Zone (AST/ADT) and observes daylight saving time. The time zone in French: AST- Heure Normale de l'Atlantique (HNA).
