At the time of the 2010 Census, Vineland had a population of 60,724 people (which is 38.7% of the total population of Cumberland County). This makes Vineland the county's most populous community.

The population of Vineland represents 0.69% of the population of New Jersey (which has 8,791,894 people), making it the state's 12th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 60,724 people, the population of Vineland increased 7.91% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 56,271 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Vineland was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Vineland post office opened in 1861.

We also found Vineland in the book titled List of Post Offices in the United States (1870).
