From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Long Valley was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Long Valley post office opened in 1918.

We also found Long Valley on a map titled Shell Oil Road Map for New Jersey (1956).
