While our initial data about Applegarth came from various goverment sources (GNIS, FIPS), we also found mention of Applegarth in various books, maps and other sources. When we find a mention, a fact or snippet, we add that information to our Gazetter.

The Applegarth post office opened in 1888 and had closed by 1907.
