While our initial data about Shippee came from various goverment sources (GNIS, FIPS), we also found mention of Shippee in various books, maps and other sources. When we find a mention, a fact or snippet, we add that information to our Gazetter.

The Shippee post office opened in 1913 and had closed by 1933.
