Welcome to Plum Valley ...

So far, we found very little information about Plum Valley. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Plum Valley to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Plum Valley - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Plum Valley, please Contact Us.


While we don't have the exact location of Plum Valley , we believe that it would have been located within present day Knox County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Plum Valley, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1875.

A typical abbreviation for Plum Valley: Plum Vly. (or less commonly used: Plum Vally. or Plum Vlly.)

Time Zone: The area where Plum Valley was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

The location where Plum Valley once stood is in the (402) & (531)<3> area codes.

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 2 communities that are also named Plum Valley - they are located in California and Missouri.

Adding Plum Valley to Our Gazetteer ...

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Plum Valley was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Plum Valley post office opened in 1875.

We also found Plum Valley on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Nebraska (1895).
