While the community is gone, the present day location for Myrtle is 3,020 feet [920 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the altitude of Myrtle is about ½ mile above sea level.
Time Zone: The area where Myrtle was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time
Note: If you leave Myrtle and travel west, you will leave Central Time and cross into the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT).
