From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Murray was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>

From that list, the Murray post office opened in 1884.

We also found Murray on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Nebraska (1895).
