So far, we found very little information about McClean. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added McClean to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of McClean - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with McClean, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of McClean , we believe that it would have been located within present day Keya Paha County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of McClean, you might consider that their post office opened in 1880.

Time Zone: The area where McClean was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned McClean was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the McClean post office opened in 1880.

We also found McClean on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Nebraska (1895).
