Welcome to Mabelo ...

So far, we found very little information about Mabelo. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Mabelo to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Mabelo - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Mabelo, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Mabelo , we believe that it would have been located within present day Brown County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Mabelo, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was on a map dated 1895.

Time Zone: The area where Mabelo was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

If Mabelo still existed, it would have been in the (402) and (531)<3> area codes.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Mabelo was on a map titled Map of Nebraska (from Rand McNally, 1895).
