Welcome to Hope ...So far, we found very little information about Hope. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Hope to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Hope - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Hope, please Contact Us. While we don't have the exact location of Hope , we believe that it would have been located within present day Madison County<2>. While we don't have a date for the founding of Hope, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was on a map dated 1895. Time Zone: The area where Hope was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time If Hope still existed, it would have been in the (402) & (531)<3> area codes. Communities Also Named Hope ...Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Nebraska communities named Hope: This one is located in Madison County and the other is located in Hayes County. Beyond Nebraska, there are 47 communities that are also named Hope - they are located in Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, British Columbia, California, Georgia, Idaho (2), Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana (3), Maine, Maryland, Michigan (2), Minnesota (2), Mississippi, Missouri (2), New Jersey, New Mexico (2), New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio (2), Oklahoma, Ontario, Oregon, Pennsylvania (2), Quebec, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas (2), Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
