Welcome to Harmony ...

So far, we found very little information about Harmony. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Harmony to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Harmony - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Harmony, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Harmony , we believe that it would have been located within present day Kearney County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Harmony, you might consider that their post office opened in 1880.

Time Zone: The area where Harmony was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

If Harmony still existed, it would have been in the (308) area code.

Adding Harmony to Our Gazetteer ...

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Harmony was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Harmony post office opened in 1880.

We also found Harmony on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Nebraska (1895).
