Welcome to Colbergen ...

So far, we found very little information about Colbergen. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Colbergen to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Colbergen - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Colbergen, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Colbergen , we believe that it would have been located within present day Pierce County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Colbergen, you might consider that their post office opened in 1880.

Time Zone: The area where Colbergen was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

We originally found mention of Colbergen in the GNIS. For more information, see the Referenced GNIS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Colbergen was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Colbergen post office opened in 1880.

We also found Colbergen on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Nebraska (1895).
