So far, we found very little information about Clyde. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>
We've added Clyde to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have the exact location of Clyde , we believe that it would have been located within present day Banner County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Clyde, you might consider that their post office opened in 1888.

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Nebraska communities named Clyde: This one is located in Banner County and the other is located in Phelps County.

Adding Clyde to Our Gazetteer ...
The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Clyde was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>
From that list, the Clyde post office opened in 1888.
We also found Clyde on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Nebraska (1895).
