Welcome to Ceryl ...

So far, we found very little information about Ceryl. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Ceryl to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Ceryl - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Ceryl, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Ceryl , we believe that it would have been located within present day Gosper County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Ceryl, you might consider that their post office opened in 1880.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Ceryl was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Ceryl post office opened in 1880.

We also found Ceryl on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Nebraska (1895).
