So far, we found very little information about Tuscola. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Tuscola to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have the exact location of Tuscola , we believe that it would have been located within present day Haywood County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Tuscola, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1880.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Tuscola was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

X2X - From that list, the Tuscola post office opened in 1880.

We also found Tuscola in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
