From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Tabor City was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Tabor City post office opened in 1935.

We also found Tabor City on a map titled Shell Oil Road Map for North Carolina (1956).
