Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Star had an population of 852 people. This is a decrease of 2.74% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 5.58% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Star had a population of 876 people. This makes Star the county's 4th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 876 people, the population of Star increased 8.55% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 807 people).
