The location of Paris has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Paris, you might consider that their post office opened in 1870. While the community is gone, the present day location for Paris is 270 feet [82 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Paris was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time The location where Paris once stood is in the (704) & (980)<5> area codes.
