Unfortunately, we didn't note our source when we found mention of Cape Hatteras, so we are uncertain whether Cape Hatteras is a community, a post office or a post office located in a community and having the same name.<2> While we don't have its location, we believe that Cape Hatteras would be found somewhere in Dare County, North Carolina.
