While our initial data about Armour came from various goverment sources (GNIS, FIPS), we also found mention of Armour in various books, maps and other sources. When we find a mention, a fact or snippet, we add that information to our Gazetter.

We've created the following list to keep track of the sources that proved useful in adding to our knowledge about Armour. We hope that they will be useful to you.

Armour is contained in a comprehensive list of Post Offices that was created by Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<1>

From that list:

The Armour post office opened in 1876 and had closed by 1953.
