Time Zone: Matthews lies in the Atlantic Time Zone (AST/ADT) and observes daylight saving time. The time zone in French: AST- Heure Normale de l'Atlantique (HNA), ADT- Heure Avancée de l'Atlantique (HAA).
Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 18 communities that are also named Matthews - they are located in Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi (3), Missouri, Montana, New Brunswick, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas.

When there's a risk of an area code running out of phone numbers, an 'Overlay Area Code' is created that has the same geographic boundaries as the existing area code.
