While we don't have a date for the founding of Sadie, you might consider that their post office opened in 1882.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Sadie is 2,400 feet [732 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the altitude of Sadie is about ½ mile above sea level.

We originally found mention of Sadie in the GNIS. For more information, see the Referenced GNIS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found (so far) for Sadie was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Sadie post office opened in 1882. The Sadie post office closed in 1909.
