Welcome to First Creek ...So far, we found very little information about First Creek. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added First Creek to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. The location of First Creek has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of First Creek, you might consider that their post office opened in 1918. A typical abbreviation for First Creek: First Crk. (or less commonly used: First Ck. or First Cr.) While the community is gone, the present day location for First Creek is 2,590 feet [789 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of First Creek is ½ mile above sea level. Time Zone: The area where First Creek was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time First Creek would have been located in the (406) area code.
