How Far From Cypress to ...
We spend a lot of time looking through Gazetteers & Almanacs that were published in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Many of the Gazetteers include the distance from a community such as Cypress to various places of note, such as the White House.
With a nod to our favorite Gazetteers and using the location of where the historic community of Cypress once stood, the straight-line distance beginning in Cypress and extending to:
- Havre, which is the Seat of Hill County, lies just to the East Southeast.
- Helena, which is the State Capital of Montana, lies 171 miles [275.2 km]<1> to the southwest (SW). If you could drive a straight line from Cypress to Helena, with an average speed<6>of 63 miles [101.4 km] per hour, it would take about three hours to make the trip.
