While we don't have a date for the founding of Alma, you might consider that their post office opened in 1902. While the community is gone, the present day location for Alma is 3,300 feet [1,006 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the elevation of Alma is about ¾ mile [or 1 km] above sea level.
