The community of Bowling Green is the Seat for Pike County.

Pike County was founded in 1818 and was created by taking area from Saint Charles County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Pike had a population of 17,678 people. This is a decrease of 4.53% since the last Census (which gave a population of 18,516 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Pike represented 0.31% of the total population of Missouri.
