Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Wilder had an population of 56 people. This is a decrease of 6.67% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 18.84% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Wilder had a population of 60 people. This makes Wilder the county's 6th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 60 people, the population of Wilder decreased 13.04% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 69 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Wilder was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Wilder post office opened in 1886.

We also found Wilder in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
