From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Squaw Lake was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Squaw Lake post office opened in 1923.

We also found Squaw Lake on a map titled Shell Oil Road Map for Minnesota (1956).
