While we don't have the exact location of Panola, we believe that it would have been located within present day Chisago County<1>.

The following counties adjoin and form the boundaries of Chisago County: Anoka, Isanti, Kanabec, Pine, Washington, Burnett (WI) & Polk (WI). The Mississippi River runs along the eastern border of the county.
