While our initial information about Wellington came from various goverment sources (GNIS, FIPS), we also found mention of Wellington in various books and other sources.

Wellington is contained in a comprehensive list of Post Offices that was created by Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<1>

The Wellington post office opened in 1895 and had closed by 1906.
