From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Trent was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Trent post office opened in 1904.

We also found Trent on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Kentucky (1911).
