Miscellaneous References and Mentions
While our initial data about New Zion came from various goverment sources (GNIS, FIPS), we also found mention of New Zion in various books, maps and other sources. When we find a mention, a fact or snippet, we add that information to our Gazetter.
We've created the following list to keep track of the sources that proved useful in adding to our knowledge about New Zion. We hope that they will be useful to you.
New Zion is contained in a comprehensive list of Post Offices that was created by Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<1>
From that list:
The New Zion post office opened in 1942 and had closed by 1981.
