From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Maynard was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Maynard post office opened in 1898.

We also found Maynard on a map titled George#&160;F. Cram Map (1905).
