From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Dukehurst was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Dukehurst post office opened in 1923.

We also found Dukehurst in the book titled SPV's Comprehensive Railroad Atlas of North America - Appalachia & Piedmont.
