Trimble County was founded in 1837. Trimble was created by taking area from Gallatin, Henry and Oldham Counties. From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Trimble had a population of 8,529 people. This is a decrease of 3.18% since the last Census (which gave a population of 8,809 people in 2010). At the time of the 2010 Census, Trimble represented 0.2% of the total population of Kentucky.
