The community of La Grange is the Seat for Oldham County.

Oldham County was founded in 1823. Oldham was created by taking area from Henry, Jefferson and Shelby Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Oldham had a population of 66,818 people. This is an increase of 10.78% since the last Census (which gave a population of 60,316 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Oldham represented 1.39% of the total population of Kentucky.
