So far, we found very little information about Slackwater. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Slackwater would have been located within present day Stark County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Slackwater, you might get a feel for it by knowing that the earliest mention that we've found (so far) was on a map dated 1881.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Slackwater is 650 feet [198 m] above sea level.<3>.
