From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Chenoa was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<9>

From that list, the Chenoa post office opened in 1856.

We also found Chenoa on a map (with an unknown title) dated 1870.
