From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Blue Point was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Blue Point post office opened in 1854.

We also found Blue Point on a map titled Rand McNally Map (1881).
