Power County was founded in 1913. Power was created by taking area from Bingham, and Counties.
From the Census Estimates for 2009, <1> Power had a population of 7,734 people. This is an increase of 2.6% since the last Census (which gave a population of 7,538 people in 2000).
At the time of the 2000 Census, Power represented 0.58% of the total population of Idaho, making it the state's 32nd most populous county (out of 44 counties).
