Clark County was founded in 1919 and was created by taking area from Fremont County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Clark had a population of 838 people. This is a decrease of 14.66% since the last Census (which gave a population of 982 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Clark represented 0.06% of the total population of Idaho.
