From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Waiohinu was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Waiohinu post office opened in 1900.

We also found Waiohinu on a map titled Shell Oil Road Map for Hawaii (1956).
