Kapoho was located on the island of Hawaii.
The location of Kapoho has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<2>
While we don't have a date for the founding of Kapoho, you might consider that their post office opened in 1912.
While the community is gone, the present day location for Kapoho is 150 feet [46 m] above sea level.<3>.
Time Zone: The area where Kapoho was located is in the Hawaiian/Aleutian Standard Time Zone (HST) and does not observe daylight saving time

We originally found mention of Kapoho in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.
From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Kapoho was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>
From that list, the Kapoho post office opened in 1912.
We also found Kapoho on a map titled Shell Oil Road Map for Hawaii (1956).
