Terrell County was founded in 1856. Terrell was created by taking area from Lee and Randolph Counties.
From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Terrell had a population of 8,573 people. This is a decrease of 7.97% since the last Census (which gave a population of 9,315 people in 2010).
At the time of the 2010 Census, Terrell represented 0.1% of the total population of Georgia.
