Time Zone: Morgan County lies in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time.

The community of Madison is the Seat for Morgan County.

Morgan County was founded in 1807 and was created by taking area from Baldwin County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Morgan had a population of 19,239 people. This is an increase of 7.67% since the last Census (which gave a population of 17,868 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Morgan represented 0.18% of the total population of Georgia.
