So far, we found very little information about Parramore. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Parramore would have been located within present day Jackson County<2>.



Parramore was established in 1870.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Parramore is 90 feet [27 m] above sea level.<3>.

Time Zone: The area where Parramore was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

Note: If you travel east from Parramore (for example, toward Reynoldsville (GA)), you will soon leave Central Time and cross into the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT).

We originally found mention of Parramore in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Parramore was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Parramore post office opened in 1892.
