Welcome to Spence ...

So far, we found very little information about Spence. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Spence to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have the exact location of Spence , we believe that it would have been located within present day Washington County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Spence, you might consider that their post office opened in 1910.

Time Zone: The area where Spence was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time

Spence would have been located in the (970) area code.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Spence was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Spence post office opened in 1910.
