Welcome to Sellar ...

So far, we found very little information about Sellar. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Sellar to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Sellar - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Sellar, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Sellar , we believe that it would have been located within present day Pitkin County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Sellar, you might consider that their post office opened in 1888.

Time Zone: The area where Sellar was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Sellar was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Sellar post office opened in 1888.

We also found Sellar in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
